Aim:

To develop an understanding of the role and function of music within film through the analyses of film cues and the creation of original music.

Description:

This project contains a range of activities relate to the study of Film Music. Students will develop their ability to compose and create different types of film music using Cubase, and extend their knowledge and understanding of musical elements through a range of listening and analysing activities. Students will work with a series of short musical extracts that attempt to portray a specific mood or emotion, and are provided with a short computer animation for which they must create a score.
