Aim:

To introduce students to the compositional devices used within Loop-Based Dance music.

Description:

This project contains a series of practical activities centred around loop-based dance music. Specific focus will be given to textural contrast, the manipulation and creation of loops and transitional devices used between song sections. The primary stylistic focus of this project is Ambient Chillout dance music. Students will work with an original piece of Ambient music called ‘Late Night Summer’.
