Aim:

To develop an understanding of the key musical features of Hip Hop and Rap music through composing, performing, listening and analysing.

Description:

This project contains a series of practical activities related to Hip Hop and Rap music. Students will explore the key features of the style – rhythm, bass lines, hooks and riffs, and vocals – and through working with MIDI, VSTi’s and audio, create an original piece of music based on the key features of the hip hop genre. An original piece of music in the hip hop style called ‘Everybody’ will be used within this project.
